DELETE YOUR MARKED ACCOUNT

You can delete your Marked account and everything stored with it at any time, for any reason. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)

  - Open Marked and go to the Profile tab.

  - Tap Account.

  - Scroll down and tap Delete account.

  - Confirm. Your account and all of its cloud data are deleted immediately.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
------------------------------

If you can’t get into the app, or a parent or guardian is making the request, email us at: jeff@communityculture.church 

Email a deletion request

Please include:

  - The email address on the account;

  - The student’s display name and youth group, if you know them;

  - Whether you are the account holder or the parent/guardian.

We verify the request before deleting anything, and we complete verified requests within 30 days (usually much sooner). We’ll email you to confirm when it’s done.

Parents and guardians
---------------------

If your child is under 13, you may request deletion of their account and personal information at any time, and you may also withdraw parental consent without deleting the account — which re-locks all personal-data features while leaving their reading progress on their own device untouched. Just say which you’d prefer in your email.

What gets deleted
-----------------

  - Data — What happens

  - Your account and email address — Permanently deleted

  - Display name — Permanently deleted

  - Reading progress, streaks, quiz and trivia scores — Permanently deleted

  - Notes, highlights, verse notes, reflections — Permanently deleted

  - Prayer requests and next steps — Permanently deleted

  - Group membership — Permanently deleted

  - Push notification token — Permanently deleted

We do not keep a backup copy of your personal data after deletion, and we retain nothing for advertising or analytics — the app has no advertising or analytics at all.

What stays on your phone
------------------------

Marked is designed to work without an account, so a copy of your reading progress, notes, and prayer journal also lives on your device. Deleting your account does not erase that local copy, and we cannot see it. To remove it, delete the Marked app from your phone.
